Your Turnitin guidance is moving!
We’re migrating our content to a new guides site. We plan to fully launch this new site in July. We are making changes to our structure that will help with discoverability and content searching. You can preview the new site now. To help you get up to speed with the new guidance structure, please visit our orientation page .
Step 1 - Installing the plagiarism plugin
The plagiarism plugin is installed in the standard Moodle way. Instructions on how to install a plugin in Moodle can be found here: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Installing_contributed_modules_or_plugins.
- Download the plagiarism plugin.
- Unzip the plugin.
- The unzipped file will contain a folder labeled plagiarism and inside that a folder labeled turnitin. You must copy the turnitin folder onto the Moodle server in the /plagiarism directory.
You may have to restart your web server service at this point.
- Navigate to Site Administration > Notifications and follow the on screen instructions.
The Turnitin plugin was not developed with support for third party plugins, therefore it cannot be guaranteed to function fully in conjunction with other assessment plugins.
