Your Turnitin guidance is moving!
We’re migrating our content to a new guides site. We plan to fully launch this new site in July. We are making changes to our structure that will help with discoverability and content searching. You can preview the new site now. To help you get up to speed with the new guidance structure, please visit our orientation page .
Viewing Student Demo Accounts
This guide only applies to users who access Revision Assistant on the Revision Assistant website. If you access Revision Assistant through a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle, please see the guides provided by your LMS or your school to complete this task.
-
Your student demo account is created automatically when you create a class. Switching to your student demo account, or "Student View," will allow you to see what your students see in your course. To get started, log into Revision Assistant with your teacher credentials. Locate the "Welcome [Your Name]!" header bar at the top of your screen. Click on the down arrow in the header. A series of user type views will drop down.
- Select Student View from the dropdown. This will take you to the homepage for your demo student.
- On your student demo homepage, you will see any assignments you created for this class as a teacher. Feel free to click on an assignment and start interacting with Revision Assistant as a student!
See Exemplar Essays for sample essays of certain prompts that you can paste into the Writing Space. See the student help guides for help navigating, formatting, and turning in your essay.
- To switch back to Teacher View, just click the down arrow in the header again. Select Teacher View from the dropdown. You will be taken back to your teacher homepage view.
- You can switch between Student View and Teacher View at any point while using Revision Assistant. You will always be directed to the homepage view for that user type.
